Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and other applicable U.S. state privacy laws — including those in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah — residents may have the right to opt out of the "sale" of their personal information and the "sharing" of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This page explains what those terms mean for Threebie and provides you with multiple ways to exercise your rights.

1. Our Data Practices

Threebie, LLC ("Threebie," "we," or "us") does not sell your personal information to data brokers for monetary compensation.

However, like many online platforms, we use third-party analytics and advertising technologies — such as cookies, pixels, and tracking tags — to help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing and deliver relevant Threebie advertisements to you when you visit other websites. Under California law and certain other state privacy laws, disclosing internet and network activity information to these third-party digital businesses may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

2. What Information Is "Sold" or "Shared"

The categories of personal information that may be disclosed to our advertising and analytics partners (and that may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable law) are limited to:

• Device identifiers: Cookie IDs, mobile advertising IDs, and other online identifiers.
• Internet and network activity: IP address, browser type, pages visited on our website, and interactions with our ads on third-party sites.
• Account identifiers (for off-site ad targeting): Hashed email addresses uploaded to social media and ad network platforms to create matched audiences.

We do not sell or share your precise geolocation, payment information, order history, or the personalized inferences that our AI concierge ("Jamie") builds about your shopping preferences with advertising partners.

3. What This Opt-Out Does NOT Affect

Because Threebie is designed to be your personalized, AI-powered shopping concierge, it is important to understand what this opt-out does not change:

• In-App Personalization & Vendor Offers: Opting out does not prevent us from using your shopping history and preferences to personalize your experience inside the Threebie app. Jamie will continue to analyze your behavior to show you tailored deals, optimized baskets, and sponsored offers from our brand and retail partners while you are using our Services. This activity is not a "sale" or "sharing" — it is part of the core service you signed up for.
• Service Providers Acting on Our Behalf: Opting out does not prevent us from disclosing personal information to vendors who process data strictly on our behalf under written contracts (e.g., Stripe for payments, Clerk for authentication, Google Maps for mapping). These are service-provider relationships, not "sales."
• Anonymized & Aggregated Data: Opting out does not prevent us from using fully de-identified or aggregated data that can no longer reasonably identify you. We use anonymous data to analyze shopping trends, improve our algorithms, and provide high-level insights to our retail partners.
• General Advertising: After you opt out, you may still see Threebie advertisements. These ads may be contextual or broadly targeted — they simply will not be personalized to you based on your cross-site browsing behavior tracked via our cookies.

4. How to Opt Out — Browser-Based (Cookies & Trackers)

To stop the collection of your data via advertising and analytics cookies on a particular browser and device, open your cookie preferences in your applicable browser's settings menu and disable non-essential categories

Important notes:

• Your cookie preference is saved via an essential cookie on this browser. If you clear your cookies, your opt-out preference will also be cleared and you will need to opt out again.
• This choice applies only to this browser and device. If you visit our website using a different browser or device, you will need to set your preferences separately for each one.
• If you have a cookie blocker or similar tool enabled, it may prevent our cookie preferences menu from appearing.

5. How to Opt Out — Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signal. If you have enabled GPC via a supported browser or browser extension (such as the Global Privacy Control), our website will automatically treat the signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information through cookies and trackers for that browser.

GPC applies only to the browser and device on which it is enabled. It covers online sales and sharing; it may not apply to all forms of data disclosure (for example, hashed email uploads to ad platforms). For a comprehensive opt-out, we recommend also submitting the account-based request below.

6. How to Opt Out — Account-Based Request

If you have a registered Threebie account and want to ensure your account-level identifiers (such as your email address) are not uploaded to third-party ad networks for off-site targeted advertising, please submit the form below. You may also email us directly at privacy@threebie.com with the subject line "Opt-Out Request."

We will process your request within 15 business days of receipt.

7. Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information

Because Threebie is a location-aware grocery platform, we utilize precise geolocation (via Google Maps APIs) to find local store inventory and calculate optimization metrics. Under California law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121), precise geolocation is classified as "Sensitive Personal Information."

We only use your precise location for purposes necessary to perform the services you reasonably expect — specifically, mapping store distances, calculating delivery availability, and optimizing your basket. We do not use your precise GPS coordinates to build external behavioral advertising profiles or disclose them to advertising partners.

If you wish to limit our use of your precise location, you can do so at any time by:

• Denying or revoking GPS/Location permissions in your mobile device or web browser settings.
• Using the manual address entry bar on our home screen to enter a broader location (e.g., a general zip code or city name) instead of sharing your exact GPS coordinates.

Because we use precise geolocation solely for permitted operational purposes and not for profiling or advertising, no additional "Limit the Use" action is required under CCPA § 1798.121. The controls above are provided for your convenience.

8. Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the privacy rights described on this page or in our Privacy Policy. Specifically, we will not:

• Deny you goods or services.
• Charge you different prices or rates (including through discounts or penalties).
• Provide you a different level or quality of service.
• Suggest that you will receive a different level or quality of service.

9. Verification

To protect your privacy, we must verify your identity before processing opt-out, access, or deletion requests:

• Account holders: You may be asked to authenticate via your existing Clerk login to confirm ownership of the account.
• Non-account holders or email-based requests: We may send a confirmation email to the address you provided and ask you to click a verification link.

We will not require you to create an account solely to submit a privacy request. We will only collect the minimum information needed to reasonably verify your identity.

10. Authorized Agents

California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on their behalf. If an authorized agent submits a request, we require:

• Written proof of the agent's authorization (e.g., a signed letter or power of attorney).
• Verification of the consumer's identity directly (unless the agent has a valid power of attorney under California Probate Code §§ 4121–4130).

11. Right to Appeal

If we decline or are unable to fulfill your privacy request, we will explain the reason in our response. You may appeal our decision by emailing privacy@threebie.com with the subject line "Rights Request Appeal." We will respond to appeals within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If you are unsatisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your state's Attorney General or the California Privacy Protection Agency.
